Often self-referential, Jordan Brand consistently uses the Air Jordan 1 as a vehicle for homage, applying colorways reminiscent of 1985-born OGs or somewhat obscure icons introduced further down the road. And while the High aims for an approach true to form, the Air Jordan 1 Mid is often more experimental as it takes more modern staples such as the “Crimson Tint” and tweaks the color blocking to a point only barely recognizable. Pink shades accent at the helm, dressing up the ankle flaps, heel wrap, eye stay, and tread, while black and white neutrals take the rest of the leather paneling. Wings iconography stamp in black, a stark contrast to the Jumpman at the heel, finishing what is effectively a re-imagining of the pair’s inspiration. In other news, the Off-White Air Jordan 4 is inching closer and closer to its Saturday release.
